Andrea has been creating her photo-realistic pencil
drawings since she was in her teens when she
gave them as presents to friends and family. Her
favorite subject has always been horses but she
also draws protraits of dogs, cats, people, landscapes, farms,
and churches and other subjects on request.
Andrea uses graphite
pencils and smudge sticks, working from photos
or black and white digital pictures that she takes.
She enjoys drawing portraits as she can focus on
capturing the animal's character. Educated as a Veterinarian at the University of Giessen (Germany), her medical knowledge of the equine anatomy enables a realistic excellence in all her work. With the German's perfectionism, she strives for an artistic quality that surpasses her client's expectations.
